The XI: Everton vs Arsenal – Rosicky and Campbell playing

Preferred line-up

                       Szczesny

 Debuchy – Chambers – Koscielny – Monreal

              Flamini – Rosicky

        Ox Ramsey Campbell

                        Giroud

Why?

It is still early days and so there is no need to rush Sanhez into playing game after game just yet. He needs a breather while he finds his feet at the club.

Since it is an away game where Arsenal may not be having a good chunk of possession, every bit of defensive work-rate will be needed from the midfield – and very few players from the squad can produce Rosicky’s hard work and tenacity  to help out Flamini. The Ox looked bright in that cameo on Tuesday and he should be given the chance to pick up from where he left off.

Giroud suffered some criticism from that game but the bashing is hardly justified knowing he rarely had any service upfront. His presence, hold-up play and aerial contribution at both ends is still vital  in games likes this.

Finally, in need of someone on the left flank who is direct and can also track back for goodness sake (heard that Cazorla and Wilshere?) Campbell should be given a chance.

  2. I like your romantic idea of Campbell starting, but please, be realistic. Starting line-up is (not will be) as follows: Szczesny – Debuchy, Chambers, Koscielny, Monreal – Flamini, Ramsey – Sanchez, Wilshere, Cazorla – Giroud
Bench: Martinez, Mertesacker, Rosicky, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Campbell, Podolski, Özil, Diaby

  3. Preferred line up , what ! no Sanchez , 30 million sitting on the bench , not going to happen, think you got it correct except Sanchez,in for Campbell .
I can see Campbell getting treated like Podolski , what has Podolski done wrong ? a world cup winner , and not good enough to be in our first team, incredible.
We don`t need Khedira , we need a striker , barring injuries fullbacks ,Debuchy, Gibbs, middle back Mertersacker,Koscielny, defensive mid,Chambers , Ramsay,Ozil, Cazorla, Santosa, Theo or Sanchez, , Podosdki or Giroud.

  9. Its high time Flamini pair Rambo in the engine room department, let Ozil be ahead of them and create those killer passes for Chambo & Sanchez. I wish Campbell could be the CF for today but no way Wenger can bench his fellow dire & abysmal countryman. So I expect Giroud to get the node and [prove that we need a new sharp CF in cavani/Falcao even if it means on loan. I still doubt if Chambo will get a node ahead of the out of form Wilking.

  11. i would go with szscny, chambrs, kos, debuchy, monreal; flaming, rambo, chambo; rosicky campbell sanchez
with this line up i can change formation and tactics frequently eg shifting to a 442 diamond of campbell and sanchez as two false strikers or traditional 4231 with campbell as a lone strkr or 4411 with campbell again lone striker and rosicky supporting him then i can bring on mesut for anyone up there except in defence or for flaming and they will interchange position at will and help keep possession against an already tired everton legs and i still have the canon poldi and the ambidexious santi and the pillar giroud to call on for tacticall changes or even give diaby a cameo outing later on this almost an article i permite you to use some of if not all this comment for our second leg preview

  12. I feel we should play 2 strikers up front, since Giroud canot do it alone. Let’s play 4-4-2. Debuchy, mertesacker, Koscielny, Monreal, chambers, ramsey, campbell, podolski, sanchez and Giroud. I think Giroud needs support. Cazorla hasn’t fully adjusted this season so let him start from the bench chambo as well. Scoring has been a problem lately so I think we need two up front

  13. Are you saying that Giroud never had service? What I saw was a striker who has no first touch, wastes all balls given him and can’t convert sitters.
Am told he’s due for an extended contract already. Diaby will also be due for another 5 years contract after successfully completing 3 games.

  14. The article says we will not have the better of the possession, I believe it will be another game like all the others are going to be against the good sides, plenty possession but no goals – because we have no CF. This Giroud is useless, cant plat with the ball at his feet, he wastes more chances created for him by our midfield than he converts. Get him out of there!
