Nacho ease!: Pundits give surprise reaction to Monreal debut
Nacho Monreal managed to make his Arsenal debut yesterday in the 1-0 victory over Stoke City and according to pundits of BBC’s Match of the Day, it certainly was not a debut to forget.
It is still early days for the jury who will be out on Monreal, but Arsenal’s new left-back has one new admirer in Alan Hansen.
Here was an analysis of the former Malaga defender’s first appearance in the Gunners’ colours.

Its still early days…..But he looks promising with his simple touches and passing of the ball, positional play and reading of the game!
Looks a guy easy to blend into the Arsenal ‘spanish’ type of play.
I personally think he will work well with Carzola, Podolski, Wilshire and Arteta.
Looking forward to the next game.

I can only go on what Alan Hansen said on match of the day, and, Alan Hansen is very hard man to please, so, his reaction to Monreal’s performance is very promising.
That being said what the hell was Wenger doing when Newcastle had a bid accepted for most of the french players they signed in the transfer window. They all look like bargains and Wenger is meant to know the french market like the back of his hand.
We’ve missed out on too many good players recently.

I hate even the best french players not bcos they’re bad but, bcos the FA’s favoritism to dominantly british clubs, so for the sake our beloved gunners, let’s never buy fro the french market, be it french or non-french players. Gunner for britishism for the sake of our clubs’ well-being. Gunner4life.
